IPSALA – METEORA - YANYA
After entering Greece, we take a breakfast break on the way. After the break, we head to Meteora. Meteora is a sacred region that contains numerous monasteries. Orthodox priests built these monasteries in the early Christian period to retreat and get closer to God. These monasteries, which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites, were built on massive rocks that emerged after the waters receded millions of years ago. At the time of construction, no access routes were available to the tops of these rocks, and the monks used to ascend to the monasteries by being pulled up with rope elevators. After the tour, we head to Yanya. Upon arriving in Yanya, we start our city tour. Yanya, the largest city in the Epirus region, is also known as the city of Tepedelenli Ali Pasha. We will visit places like the Aslanpaşa Mosque, Fethiye Mosque, Ali Pasha Tomb, Byzantine Museum, and the Ottoman Castle. After the city tour, we give free time. After free time, we proceed to our hotel in Yanya for overnight accommodation.
